Rooted in the fertile plains of the Krishna River in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, Ram’s story begins in a traditional farming family cultivating paddy, cotton, and red chillies. Though his career took him across borders as a technocrat, his heart remained close to the soil. With a deep respect for his agricultural heritage and a vision to uplift rural communities, Ram founded Jay Kisan Logistics Pvt. Ltd.
The company was born out of a genuine need — to provide local farmers with better infrastructure, storage, and market access. By establishing rural warehouses in key farming villages, Ram created a dependable logistics network that today serves hundreds of farmers and agri-traders. These facilities offer farmers the freedom to store, preserve, and market their produce on their terms, reducing dependence on middlemen and minimizing post-harvest losses. In alignment with this mission, Ram and his wife, Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi, expanded their efforts into the cold storage sector.
Understanding the perishability and value of red chillies in the region, they developed state-of-the-art cold storage units to support chilli farmers in maintaining quality and achieving fair prices in both local and export markets.
Looking ahead, the couple is determined to take the flavor and quality of Indian produce to the global stage. Their focus is on building export channels across APAC, African nations, Europe, and North and South America — connecting Indian farmers directly to international buyers.
